Novato Youth Soccer Association offers youth soccer through both recreational soccer and competitive soccer, along with tournaments. The program includes a full program of youth soccer each year for over 1,400 local girls and boys, and no prior experience with the sport is required for the recreational program. All interested youth are welcome and encouraged to join the recreational program.

Novato Youth Soccer Association (NYSA) is a non-profit volunteer-based youth sports organization. NYSA serves ages four through high school and is the largest youth sports program in Novato. NYSA is powered by more than 200 dedicated volunteers each season, has over 20 board members, and includes 200 volunteer coaches and team parents.
The mission of NYSA is to foster learning and love of the game of soccer, with goals that include developing physical skills for soccer and learning beyond the field in areas such as sportsmanship, camaraderie, cooperation, and teamwork. NYSA is committed to having programs available at recreational and competitive levels and strives to offer financial assistance so that those in financial need may participate.
The competitive program, North Marin United, is for players U8–U19 and offers high-level professional coaching for all select teams. North Marin United teams are trained by professional coaches, use a curriculum-based training program, and place all players through a tryout process where coaches evaluate and place them based on skill level, attitude, and experience. Competitive teams require a greater commitment from players, emphasize skills development taught in a positive environment, and compete against top clubs and in tournaments both nearby and throughout Northern California.
NYSA states that it is dedicated to providing fun opportunities for children in the Novato community to exercise and play and seeks donations and sponsorships to support its programs and the Novato community. The leadership team includes Director of Coaching Yasert Ortega, Assistant Director of Coaching Lauren Byrd, and a League Administrator. The NYSA website is powered by SportsEngine's Sports Relationship Management (SRM) software and is subject to the Novato Youth Soccer Association privacy policy.
