About
Novato Youth Soccer Association offers a fall recreation program and a competitive soccer program that includes a curriculum-based training program. The competitive program, called North Marin United Competitive Soccer Program (U8–U19), includes tryouts where coaches evaluate and place players based on skill level, attitude, and experience. Teams in this program compete at a higher level and require a greater commitment from players, and players develop technically, tactically, and as teammates while experiencing the rewards of true team play.

North Marin United teams are trained by professional coaches. The organization’s leadership team includes Director of Coaching, Yasert Ortega, and Assistant Director of Coaching, Lauren Byrd. The Novato Youth Soccer Association is powered by more than 200 dedicated volunteers each season, including over 20 board members and 200 volunteer coaches and team parents. The program’s website is powered by SportsEngine's Sports Relationship Management (SRM) software.
