The program uses the ALOHA Mental Math systems, including Abacus Methodology, mental arithmetic, and complex arithmetic, and also offers online math, reading, and writing classes that are teacher-led and adapted from in-person classes. ALOHA Oakland offers several specific programs, including Tiny Thinkers, which introduces 3–5 year olds to spatial relations, measurements, basic geometry, and math through hands-on activities and personalized guidance. ALOHA Champ is a program for five-year-olds that introduces reading and writing with simple words and stories, vocabulary, spelling, and writing skills. Mind Math Junior focuses on innovative Abacus Methodology for 5–7 year-old children to quickly perform mental arithmetic, and Mind Math Senior teaches children to mentally perform complex arithmetic quickly and accurately. A Reading | Writing class is available for 6–12 year-old children to develop proper grammar and strong reading and writing skills. The program uses smaller class sizes and personalized attention, and each class is tailored to what the child needs to succeed in school and beyond.
