Aurora School has been a progressive education trailblazer in the Bay Area since 1988 and is a TK–8 independent school that uses multi-grade classrooms and looping, where students have the same teacher for two years. Aurora integrates social-emotional learning throughout its curriculum, and Creators & Explorers is run by Aurora staff trained in social-emotional learning. Theater Arts Camp is guided by Aurora faculty, staff, and alumni counselors, and TechKnowHow has been running STEM-focused programs for youth for 29 years. Aurora has small camps with a focus on educational and project-driven activities, and offers limited Counselor-in-Training spots for grades 7–12 in Creators & Explorers and Theater Arts Camp. Aurora School's mission is to nurture students' love of learning by cultivating academic excellence, emotional intelligence, and social engagement.

Aurora School is collaborating with the Mills College Children's School community on a Transitional Kindergarten program and has a long partnership with TechKnowHow for LEGO and Engineering camps. All summer camps are open to both the Aurora community and non-Aurora families. Morning drop-off from 8:30am is available at no extra charge, and After Care until 5pm is available to those who pre-register and may be added during initial registration or up to the week before a session begins. Symptomatic and/or exposed campers must complete an at-home rapid test before returning to camp, and campers testing positive for COVID must stay home until a negative test result. The deadline to request any refund is May 1, 2026, and all tuition becomes non-refundable after May 1.
