About

The Khuner Young Artist Competition is a young soloist competition sponsored by the Prometheus Symphony Orchestra. Each season, the competition highlights exceptional young musical talent from the area.

• Schedule: Held once each season as part of the Prometheus Symphony Orchestra’s annual programming

Founded in 1964, the Prometheus Symphony Orchestra celebrates over 60 years of offering free concerts to the Bay Area community. The orchestra is an all-volunteer organization, and families with children are welcome at its events. The orchestra is associated with Merritt College in Oakland, a campus of the Peralta Community College District. The Prometheus Symphony Orchestra is supported in part by an ArtsFund grant from the Alameda County Arts Commission and through the generosity of Chevron Corporation. Eric Hansen serves as Music Director.
