Living Jazz offers Living Jazz RootED, a tuition-free music and dance education and performance program, and Jam Camp West, a music and dance camp that includes music, dancing, singing, writing, and meeting new and old friends. Jam Camp West welcomes all skill levels and is for ages 10-17.

- Jam Camp West — 10-17 · 7-day music and dance camp every July · All skill levels welcome; includes music, dancing, singing, writing, and connecting with new and old friends.

About the provider
Living Jazz says it transforms lives through the music, spirit, and culture of jazz in the Bay Area community by educating students and artists of all ages and abilities. The organization says it has operated since 1984, and Jam Camp West was established in 2008. As of fall 2025, Living Jazz RootED provides performing arts education to over 900 students in 16 public schools. RootED students perform at Oakland's only non-denominational musical tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., In the Name Of Love.
