Brentwood SeaWolves (BSW) is a year-round competitive swim team and a member of USA Swimming in the Pacific Swimming Zone 2, and its swim and water polo teams are sanctioned members of USA Swimming and USA Water Polo. BSW swimmers have competed at regional and national levels, including Olympic Trials, as well as at the age group Junior Olympics level. The program also offers a year-round water polo program through a partnership with Lamorinda Water Polo Club, and Lamorinda-Brentwood Water Polo and the City of Brentwood offer Splashball as an introduction to water polo for kids ages 5–9. BSW offers part-time programs on a limited basis for many of its swim groups and is the longest running USA Swimming program in its area.

BSW was founded in September 2007 by six families, with the first practice held in February 2008 with 12 swimmers, and water polo was added later that year as a second aquatic sport. In June 2009, BSW was granted tax-exempt status and became a 501c3 non-profit organization. The coaching staff includes highly qualified coaches skilled at instructing swimmers of all ages and abilities.

The Brentwood SeaWolves mission states that the SeaWolves provide a safe, supportive and positive environment for all members to achieve their highest potential in and out of the water, encourage community, family and individual participation at all levels, and fully support all measures adopted by the US Center for Safe Sport and USA Swimming to protect athletes from abuse or mistreatment. The organization’s stated purposes include providing training, instruction and encouragement for increased proficiency in competitive aquatic sports, furthering interest, education and participation in these sports in the community, encouraging and developing good sportsmanship, individual integrity and team play, promoting and advancing aquatic sports, and combating juvenile delinquency through the promotion of aquatic sports. The team also holds an annual summer potluck and organizes group activities such as ice skating, movie nights, and tie-dye shirt events.
