Five Cities Youth Baseball includes umpiring and officiating games as part of its program. Junior umpires officiate farm and minors games, and training is provided for umpires. The program states the mission, “WHERE THE PLAYER COMES FIRST!”
• Price: Adult umpires are paid per game, depending on experience.
Five Cities Youth Baseball is working with the city of Pismo Beach and insurance to determine replacement costs and when they can rebuild after the Blair field scorebooth was destroyed by arson on February 14th. In the fire, the program lost umpire gear, coaching equipment, the entire season's fertilizer for the grass, the PA system, scorekeeping devices, and game streaming electronics, and a GoFundMe is live to help replace what was lost. Requests for banner sponsorships or tax deductible donations can be made via email to [email protected] or via Venmo @FCYB23. Interested individuals can follow the program on Facebook and Instagram to stay up to date with news.
