SoCal Swords offers group classes for all levels, Teen Classes for ages 13-17 on Monday and Wednesday afternoons, and Youth Classes for ages 9-12 on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Youth classes include games and all equipment is provided. The program also offers Beginners Course - Longsword, Beginners Course - Rapier, and Beginners Course - Rapier+Longsword for Adults 18+ and Teens 13-17.

- Teen Classes — 13-17 · Monday and Wednesday afternoons · Dedicated teens classes were recently added.
- Youth Classes — 9-12 · Tuesday and Thursday afternoon · Designed with a focus on games that build fitness and social skills. All equipment is provided.
- Private Lessons — Personalized introduction to HEMA, a fun experience with a few friends, or a focused session to hone fighting and cutting techniques.

About the provider
SoCal Swords was founded in 2021 by RJ McKeehan, after co-owning a HEMA retail business and school for over five years. The school’s mission is to provide high-quality, affordable HEMA gear and training in historical swords and other martial implements, while advancing HEMA and making sword fighting fun. SCS instructors have extensive experience in HEMA, including study of historical manuals and translating those skills to fighting and medaling in tournaments.
Classes are open to students of all levels. All class sizes are limited, and RSVP is requested. Teens are welcome in regular classes. Youth classes are ages 9-12. Private lessons, workshops, and events may be an additional charge.
