The Music Room (TMR)

The Music Room (TMR) offers dance classes for children and adults, including Hip-Hop, Pointe, Lyrical, Ballet, and Contemporary Jazz. It also offers Musical Theatre (Show Biz Kids) for children, with two shows a year, plus Aerial Silks, an Aerial Silks Competition Team, Adult Dance/Fitness, Mini Artists, Vocal, and Summer at TMR.

About the provider

The Music Room was established in 1985. Its stated mission is: "Nurturing the creativity in every child." The leadership team includes Sharon Westenhofer, Penny Kim, Jeannette DeGrave, Lisa Morgan, and Melissa Saxon.

All students are required to pay a $40 registration fee each year, which covers enrollment in all TMR classes taken from September through August. Registration fees are non-refundable after the students’ first class. Studio closed on Halloween (Oct 31), Thanksgiving Break (Nov 23-27), Winter Break (Dec 21-Jan 3), Spring Break (Mar 29-Apr 4), Memorial Day (May 31), and Independence Day (July 4).
