Groza Learning Center has been setting students up for success since 2002, and its leadership team has been in education since 1996. Academic Instructors are graduates of prominent universities such as Stanford, UC Berkeley, UCLA, Harvard, Yale, and Princeton; many hold teaching credentials, special education credentials, and advanced degrees including master's degrees, PhDs, and JDs, and every instructor has cleared a background check. Academic Instructors are selected through a rigorous multi-step interview process, and an experienced team of educators collaborates on student programs using research-based teaching initiatives and customized learning plans based on each student's learning style. The program includes services for all ages and levels from Pre-K to college, recognizes and respects neurodiversity with extensive experience in differentiated instruction, and accommodates learning differences including ADD/ADHD, processing and cognitive issues, Asperger’s, Autism, executive functioning deficits, and gifted students. The program states that over 95% of Groza students get accepted into their top three school choices, and that Groza Learning Center has an award-winning, all-encompassing tutoring program.
The mission of Groza Learning Center is to provide educational learning experiences through tutoring, test preparation, and schooling, with a stated goal of inspiring each child to achieve their highest academic standards and discover the power of confidence. The program emphasizes communication and transparency so parents always know how their child is progressing. Groza Learning Center offers a Homeschool & Tutoring Program and provides assessments as part of its services.
The leadership team includes Tatyana Yukhtman, Director of Education; Brodie, a leadership coach and educator; Brian, an educator with a master’s degree in writing from Carnegie Mellon University; and Corey, an educator with bachelor's degrees in English and history and a master's degree in history from USC. Tatyana founded one of the highest performing alternative PreK–12 schools in California and has been recognized as an Entrepreneur of the Year by the National Consortium of Entrepreneurship. Tatyana is an Executive Board member of the local Chamber of Commerce and a member of the National Women Business Association, and she serves as a Board Committee Member of the Los Angeles Chapter of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization, where she is working to build a partnership between Cedar Sinai Hospital Research Center, UCLA Hospital, USC Hospital, and prominent Los Angeles entrepreneurs.
Parent testimonials report excellent ISEE scores and acceptances to all three applied schools for one student, significant report card improvement for another student whose teachers noted the changes, and several years of attendance for two children with what those parents describe as highly qualified tutors and professional management. Another testimonial from parents at Windward and Archer schools states that the results for their children have been “amazing” and that they highly recommend Groza Learning Center.
