Best Day Camp Ever includes weekly themed programs that feature field trips, activities, and community service projects. Campers take part in beach and community cleanup efforts and a Community Campout. The program’s current theme is listed as “Summer Celebration.”

• Price: 2026 Price: $98.00 per week per child

Best Day Camp Ever groups participants in K–6th grades in age-appropriate groups, offers Leaders in Training (LIT) roles for 7th–9th grades, and Counselor in Training (CIT) roles for 10th–12th grades. Young adults ages 16–24 can join work experience, volunteer, and employment programs, including volunteer and paid employment options. Transportation from Antelope Valley is provided if needed for the Community Campout at Castaic Lake. Financial assistance is available, and it is free to join TILT / LEADERSHIP LEAGUE, with activity costs varying.

The program is run by Community Development Center USA (CDCUSA), led by CDCUSA Founder & CEO David Harris. CDCUSA was established as a corporation in December 1990, founded and incorporated as Community Development Center USA in 2006, and granted 501(c)(3) non-profit status by the IRS in January 2007. CDCUSA states that its mission is to unite individuals, families, businesses, and communities together for the sole purpose of achieving their fullest potential.

CDCUSA is a National Certified American Red Cross Provider and is described as a certified provider of the American Red Cross. CDCUSA works with local and national partners on LA wildfire response and recovery efforts, including beach and community cleanup efforts with local leadership, other nonprofit organizations, and the Pacific Palisades American Legion Post 283. During the wildfire, CDCUSA partnered with Tesla to provide free community WiFi and power hubs in Palisades and Malibu. CDCUSA has partnered with YEA / AV Chamber of Commerce and NewColorsProject, and it collects donations and canned or boxed food during Summer Giving Tuesdays for fall and winter food distribution programs for families in need.
