Launch Pad Learning PMD is an Infant Care Center & Preschool with large, sectioned play yards, a spacious classroom, facility kitchens, and a newly renovated Palmdale facility. The program serves homemade “home”-cooked meals prepared in its facility kitchens. It also provides a free monthly book for every child to encourage reading and parent-child relationships, offers potty training, and serves homemade meals. The program holds an open house on the first Saturday of every month from 10 AM–12 PM with light refreshments provided.

All teachers are CPR/First Aid certified and have at least 12 ECE units, with all holding or working toward a CDE Permit. Most teachers have college degrees, and many staff members are bi-lingual or speak more than one language. The program reports low teacher turnover and offers many staff benefits to attract and retain high quality teachers. The leadership team includes Ms. Deidre as Executive Director and Telma Rojas, also referred to as Ms. Telma, as Director. Launch Pad Learning PMD has more than 20 years of experience in child development and operates under license number LIC # 197750212.

The program’s stated motto is “Where every child has the opportunity to fly, jump, and venture into their best possible future.” Its mission describes students exploring their world and learning from nature in a safe and encouraging environment. The mission also states a goal to open the program to all persons without prejudice, bias, or preconception by any criteria, welcoming all children and parents and not discriminating in any way. It describes the program’s “part of the village” as diverse and inclusive and states a goal that all children experience and learn the core values of honesty, respect of all persons, and the value of every person’s worth, while receiving basic foundational developmental opportunities both academically and socio-emotionally.

Launch Pad Learning PMD partners with community organizations including Westside Infant-Family Network, police and fire departments, and the cities of Palmdale, as well as parents, staff, and the children to provide high quality care.
