Caio Terra Academy Palo Alto Kids & Teen Programs offers Kids 1 | Toddlers classes with interactive games and drills, and the class is 30 minutes. It also offers Kids II classes that teach basic movements and introduce submission holds, plus Teen Jiu-Jitsu with drilling moves and rolling while teaching martial values.

• Kids II 7-9 — 7-9 y/o · Designed to teach basic movements and help children defend themselves.
• Programs for Teens — Similar to the adult fundamental class; teens learn basic moves, positions, fundamentals of Jiu-Jitsu, and martial values.

About the provider

Caio Terra has been instructing students and producing world champions since 2004. He opened his own academy in San Jose in 2011 and opened the Caio Terra Academy in Palo Alto in 2022. The academy says it is the home of 12-time world champion Caio Terra and follows the curriculum developed and tested by him.

• CT(A) Classes — Introduction to BJJ and fundamentals for people with little or no experience.
• CT(B) Classes — Advanced fundamentals classes designed for beginners with minimal experience.
• CT(C) Classes — Intermediate white/blue and above; designed for people making the transition to advanced class.
• Advanced Jiu Jitsu — For white with blue stripe and above; includes drilling and live rolling.
• No-Gi — Designed for advanced students; students must wear shorts and a CTA rash guard.
• Open Mat — Members can trade techniques and train in a free flowing and creative environment.
