Kim Grant Tennis Academy offers tennis through summer camps, sleep away camps, tennis clinics, private lessons, tennis tournaments, and birthday parties. Players can join specially prepared summer camp programs that range from Mini and Pre-Beginner levels through Elite level tennis. The academy uses a structured curriculum that focuses on fundamental skills, technique, and performance, and also offers access to tournaments and networking opportunities with other tennis enthusiasts.

Kim Grant Tennis Academy has a history that spans over several decades. The academy operates with a staff of certified instructors, and the coaching staff is highly skilled, motivated, and trained by Kim Grant. Kim Grant leads the academy and has a professional tennis background that includes playing in Grand Slams such as the Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon, and US Open, as well as World Team Tennis, Federation Cup for South Africa, and WTA events including Bank of the West (Stanford) and WTA tournaments for 18 years.

The academy states that everyone at Kim Grant Tennis Academy has the same singular priority: the KGTA student. No player is ever turned away, and the academy works with Special Needs students and students with disabilities, stating that tennis is the sport for everyone. The academy states that it nurtures and guides each student in the program to succeed, regardless of level and personal goals, and uses the phrase “Be The Exception!” in its mission.

During the summer season from June 8 to August 9, 2026, camps run at Winter Lodge from 9:00am–1:00pm and 6:00pm–8:30pm for Mini, Pre-Beginner, Beginner, Adv-Beginner, Orange Ball Beginner, Intermediate 1, and Green Ball Beginner. Camps run at Woodside High School from 9:00am–1:00pm, 2:00pm–6:00pm, and 6:00pm–8:30pm for Intermediate 2, Teen Development, Intermediate 3, Recreational Yellow, Intermediate 4, Advanced, and Elite. Office hours are 8:30am–5:30pm Monday–Friday, and lesson hours are 7:00am until dark Monday–Sunday, including some lessons held under lights. Optional bus transportation runs from Winter Lodge, departing at 8:15am and returning by 2:00pm, and all parents or guardians must fill out a transportation waiver before a player is allowed onto the bus.

Required items for camp include lace-up athletic tennis shoes with socks, with no Velcro allowed, and no running shoes or cross-trainers for Intermediate II through Elite players, who must wear tennis shoes only. Players are also expected to have a hat or visor, athletic or tennis shorts or skirt, and a breathable shirt, with light colors advised; sunglasses are optional. If a player does not have a hat or sunscreen, these will be provided from the Pro Shop and charged to the family account. Lunch and snacks are not provided, and staff are not allowed to take players to buy lunch. Parents may allow children to purchase snacks using a card on file by emailing permission and a list of allowed items, and parents are asked not to pack any snacks that include nuts. On days over 90 degrees, players may be offered fruit pops or popsicles unless parents opt out by email or text.

All players must sign in before being allowed on court and must sign out before leaving once their session is complete. A Participation Waiver and Code of Conduct must be signed prior to entering camp property. Lessons are offered 7 days a week, and make-up clinic requests must be made in writing before a missed lesson and completed before the end of each season. With parental permission, players can purchase items from the Pro Shop and snacks on account, and if a player does not have a hat or sunscreen, those items will be provided and charged to the family account.
