Monsoon Dance Company preserves and advances the Indian classical dance form of Kathak while expanding its expressive potential through contemporary movement practices. It creates performances and educational programs that bridge tradition and innovation in classical South Asian dance and aims to make this dance relevant and accessible to today’s diverse audiences. Through rigorous training, creative exploration, and storytelling, it focuses on technical excellence, artistic voice, and cultural pride. Its new works reflect the multicultural, multi-layered experiences of its community and foster cross-cultural understanding through dance.
