Summer Camps

Summer Camps includes Camp Rinconada Junior Swim Camp for children ages 5–6 years old, Camp Rinconada Swim Camp for children ages 7–12 years old, and Camp Rinconada Junior Lifeguard Challenge Camp for children ages 9–14 years old. The swim camps are week-long and include a daily swim lesson, open swim, and field activities. The Junior Lifeguard Challenge Camp is for children interested in water safety and life-saving skills.

About the provider

Palo Alto Swim and Sport does not provide lunch for campers. Campers should pack a lunch, a water bottle, and extra snacks. Life-jackets and U.S. Coast Guard-approved Puddle Jumper Life Vests are available for swimmers deemed not water safe for Open Swim. The camp area is separated from public access, and only cleared staff, campers, and aides are allowed. Children must be toilet trained and able to change themselves. Weekly skill progression is tracked for campers signed up for multiple weeks. A Welcome Letter is sent on the Friday before camp starts.

• Camp Rinconada Junior Swim Camp — 5–6 years old · Daily, 8:30am–1:30pm · Week-long swim camp for children who have completed kindergarten. Includes daily swim lesson, open swim, and field activities.
• Camp Rinconada Swim Camp — 7–12 years old · Daily, 8:30am–1:30pm · Week-long swim camp for children with school or camp experience. Includes daily swim lesson, open swim, and field activities.
• Camp Rinconada Junior Lifeguard Challenge Camp — 9–14 years old · Camp for children interested in water safety and life-saving skills.

Children must be toilet trained and able to change themselves. If a child might require assistance changing, they should wear their swimsuit to camp underneath regular clothes. Weekly skill progression is tracked for campers signed up for multiple weeks. A Welcome Letter is sent on the Friday before camp starts.
