Winter Lodge Skating Classes are held at the Winter Lodge, which features an outdoor, recreationally sized rink. The program is part of a non-profit organization and is known for being the oldest ice skating rink in the San Francisco Bay Area. It is also the only permanent outdoor rink west of the Sierra.

USA TODAY reported that Winter Lodge is the #1 rated ice skating rink in the U.S. according to Yelp users. Outside Magazine ranked Winter Lodge as one of the top 10 outdoor ice skating experiences in the US. Winter Lodge was also voted ‘Best of the Bay Area‘ for a family-favorite destination by Bay Area Parent Magazine.
