About
Los Angeles Children’s Chorus offers choral music education and choral music performance for young people. The program includes auditions for interested singers and works with choristers in multiple ensembles.

Los Angeles Children’s Chorus states that its mission is to provide choral music education of the highest quality to young people who represent richly diverse racial, economic, and cultural backgrounds, and to ignite a love of singing while nurturing the full expression of each individual’s potential for artistic and personal excellence through the collaborative experience of choral music performance. The program is a GRAMMY Award-winning youth chorus and includes 9 ensembles with more than 500 choristers from over 80 zip codes and more than 150 schools, offering over 1,200 instructional hours and more than $200,000 in scholarships.
Los Angeles Children’s Chorus is involved in community performances, including participation in LA Opera’s presentation of The Magic Flute on June 6, 2026, at 7:30 p.m., featuring LACC choristers. Testimonials about the program include comments from Billie Eilish, who described growing up in LACC as “one of the most impactful things” in her life, as well as praise from the Los Angeles Times and Esa-Pekka Salonen, Music Director of the San Francisco Symphony.
