Pasadena Ice Skating Center Youth Skating & Hockey Programs include public skating, learn-to-skate group classes for hockey, and learn-to-skate group classes for figure skating. The program also offers recreational skating activities, skating rentals, and broomball rentals, and the facility is available for school field trips, fundraisers, company rentals, and film, television, and commercial shoots.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Price: On-site parking costs $15 a day for up to 16 hours. Vehicles over 18 feet in length will be charged twice the daily rate per entry.
The Pasadena Ice Skating Center has been located in the Pasadena Convention Center since 1976, and its current facility opened in September 2011. The stated mission is to provide year-round recreational skating activities for skaters of all ages and ability levels. The leadership team includes Alejandro Salgado (Assistant General Manager – Operations), Elizabeth Real (Assistant General Manager – Administration), Tommy Farias (Assistant Manager / Hockey Director), and Laura Wishart (Skating Director). The facility is home to the Pasadena Maple Leafs Youth Hockey Association, the Pasadena Figure Skating Club, and the Rose City Crystals synchronized skating teams. The rink is an NHL regulation-size surface (200’x85’) with 4 team rooms, a skate rental, a party room, vending machines, a pro shop, and an administration office. The facility also has an in-house league with over 30 adult hockey teams in 4 division levels, and the parking structure includes 8 EV charging stations that can be used for the duration of a visit and has a height restriction of 6’ 6”.
