USC Pacific Asia Museum Educational Programs are part of a museum established in 1971, with permanent galleries being reimagined with guest curators, scholars, and community input and reopening in phases beginning fall 2025. The museum’s mission is to further intercultural understanding through the arts of Asia and the Pacific Islands and to create encounters with the art, history, and culture of Pacific Asia. The museum organizes and presents exhibitions, performances, lectures, classes, workshops, and festivals, and its School Tours Program focuses on special exhibitions while permanent galleries are temporarily closed. The museum is fully accessible to visitors with disabilities, with accessible entrances, restrooms, and elevators, and offers a limited number of wheelchairs and portable gallery chairs free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis while also welcoming personal walkers, wheelchairs, and scooters. The museum serves the city of Los Angeles and the Greater Southern California region and depends on support from individuals, corporations, and foundations, with free days courtesy of East West Bank. The leadership team includes roles such as Director, Deputy Director, Registrar, Collections, Visitor Services, School Programs and Education Coordinator, and Manager of Public Programs and Campus Partnerships.
