Academy of Jeet Kune Do Sciences – Black Dragons Teen Self-Defense

Academy of Jeet Kune Do Sciences – Black Dragons Teen Self-Defense includes Black Dragons teen self-defense classes that draw from Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do. Teens in the program train in related arts offered at the Academy, including Jeet Kune Do Muay Thai Chaiya, Applied Escrima, Krabi - Krabong, Shastar-Vidya, Kali / Escrima, and Muay Chaiya/Silat. The program is part of a school that also offers J.K.D. (All Levels) and private lessons.

• Schedule: Black Dragons teen self-defense classes are offered on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 4–5pm.
• Price: Non-students can sign up for the digital classroom for $10/month.

The Academy of Jeet Kune Do Sciences has taught practical martial arts in Petaluma for over twenty years. Its mission is stated as “Practical self-defense, effective, street-oriented martial arts.” The Academy is both JKD Concepts and Jun Fan JKD Certified, and training is provided for professional military, security/protection, MMA personnel, beginners, youth, and martial arts enthusiasts of all ages. Teen self-defense classes for teens (Black Dragons, ages 12–16) are offered, there is no class for children under 12, and all adult classes are for ages 16 and over. In-person students get free access to the AJKDS Digital Student Portal, and non-students can sign up for this digital classroom for $10/month, which allows access to training materials from anywhere in the world.

Shastar-Vidya at the Academy is described as an incredibly rare and centuries old Sikh martial art designed for the battlefield. Krabi - Krabong is described as an ancient weapon art of Thailand teaching double swords and staff/spear. Applied Escrima is described as a unique form of close-quarters Filipino stick and knife fighting. Jeet Kune Do at the Academy is described as Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do.
