Hooves for Healing offers riding lessons in English and Western styles, including dressage, jumping, equitation, Western pleasure, barrel racing, and trail riding. The program also includes equine-assisted therapy, Equine Summer Camp with thematic weeks such as Horses in History and Unicorn Week, and activities like art projects, obstacle courses, horse care, bathing horses, understanding hoof anatomy, identifying parts of the saddle and tack, and interactive learning packets and games about horses and their history. Hooves for Healing was founded in 2020 as Loscutoff Equine Rescue and grew from rescuing horses to providing equine-assisted programs. Riding instructors have over 40 years of combined experience. The program’s mission is to connect horse and human through compassionate teachings and shared experiences, with a focus on healing lives that have been damaged and creating a sanctuary where both horses and humans can thrive. The organization currently has five rescue horses involved in therapeutic programs and follows a philosophy that both horses and people can rescue each other.
