O'Brien Center of the Arts

O'Brien Center of the Arts offers classes in ballet, lyrical, jazz, contemporary, musical theatre, improv, flexibility, and conditioning. The program also offers Adult Ballet classes, as well as summer intensive programs and master classes with guest teachers. During the school year, students learn and refine their technique while developing their artistry.

• Schedule: Office hours Monday–Friday 2:30–7:00 and Saturday 9:00–4:00

In 2012, Martha O'Brien opened the O'Brien Center of the Arts. Martha applies elements from Russian, French, and English techniques to create well rounded and versatile dancers. She believes that every child can benefit from taking ballet because of the confidence and discipline it instills. The program is conveniently located in downtown Petaluma. Students perform twice a year at Spreckles Performing Arts Center in the Holiday Gift and another show in spring with new choreography. Advanced dancers audition for and attend summer intensive programs at well known ballet schools, and younger students can attend summer intensives at the studio that include extra conditioning, master classes with guest teachers, and chances to try new forms of dance. Adult Ballet classes use class cards that are available for purchase.
