Petaluma School of Music

Petaluma School of Music offers private vocal and instrumental instruction, private music lessons, and both virtual and in-person music lessons. The program includes songwriting, group classes, Voice classes, a Rock Band group, Young Musicians Classes, Baby & Toddler Music Classes, Adult Piano Classes, and Student Concerts. Each year, students have the opportunity to perform at two concerts, with the next Student Concert scheduled for July 2026 (details TBA).

Petaluma School of Music has been making joyful music since 2001. Melody Caspari has been the Owner/Director since 2012. The school offers music lessons and classes for students of all ages, with students as young as 4 months old and as old as 99 years, and provides both individual lessons and small family classes. The mission of Petaluma School of Music is to bring the joy of music to all age groups, nurture the musical growth of each student, help them reach their individual goals while enjoying the journey, and inspire creativity through innovative instruction, with the goal of fostering the joy of music in each student and sharing music with the community. The school states that it aims to share music with the community and provide a musical haven for the community.

For in-person lessons, students and all persons 3 years and older must wear a face mask and wash or disinfect their hands before and after the music lesson, and complimentary disposable masks are available at the front door for those who have forgotten to bring their own mask. The school follows strict health and safety protocols for in-person lessons, including wearing a face mask and washing or disinfecting hands before and after the lesson, provides complimentary disposable masks at the front door, is professionally cleaned and disinfected regularly, and runs air purifiers with HEPA filters that capture particles down to 0.1 microns in every classroom. The school describes itself as providing a haven of music discovery for Petaluma residents.
