Petaluma Youth Soccer League offers organized soccer that includes a Pre-K Academy introduction to soccer, a Developmental Division that teaches the fundamentals of team play, a Recreational Division with more advanced techniques and a higher level of competition, and a Competitive Division that provides a competitive travel club experience in a year round setting. Young players in the Pre-K Academy learn the basics of soccer in a group setting run by PYSL trainers. The league also offers referee trainings and a Referee Certification Course.

• Schedule: Registration opens April 15th and the season runs from July through October; Referee Certification Course on April 26th at 4pm

Petaluma Youth Soccer League (PYSL) is a non-profit organization established in 1976 that offers organized soccer for players from 4 to 19 years old in the Petaluma area. PYSL consists of Developmental, Recreational, and Competitive Divisions and strives at all levels of play to provide a safe and positive soccer environment that develops a player's skills, knowledge, and love for the game of soccer. The Developmental Division emphasizes fun and does not keep score, the Recreational Division builds upon fundamentals and introduces more advanced techniques and a higher level of competition, and the Competitive Division (North Coast Futbol Club / North Coast FC) offers a competitive travel club experience in a year round setting.
Financial assistance is available, and PYSL states that no child or family will be turned away. PYSL is always looking for referees ages 13 and older, offers free referee trainings and competitive compensation, and gives referees chances to develop knowledge and understanding of the game while making money. PYSL is run by volunteers, many of whom also volunteer as coaches and hold down daytime jobs, and the league has sponsors and community partners referred to as SPONSORS & COMMUNITY PARTNERS.
The leadership team includes Sean Kensinger (President / Registrar), Mark Ribeiro (Vice-President), Megan Crane (Secretary / Treasurer), Lindsey Fisher (Recreational Director), Sveinn Sigurdsson (Recreational Director), Rebecca Timme (Developmental Director, K–2nd), Ashlyn Steeves (Pre-K Academy Coordinator), Rafael Nunn (Head Referee), and Lee Reposa (North Coast FC Representative).
