Foothill Taekwondo

Foothill Taekwondo offers KinderKicks, Beginners Taekwondo, Black Belt Club, and Weapons training. KinderKicks uses age-appropriate Taekwondo techniques, structured games, and positive reinforcement, while the Weapons program focuses on focus, precision, advanced skill development, and proper handling, forms, and applications of each weapon. Classes are organized by age group and program level, and students can start at any time in KinderKicks.

Programs

• KinderKicks — ages 4 to 6 · Designed for young children developing balance, coordination, focus, and self-control. Uses age-appropriate Taekwondo techniques, structured games, and positive reinforcement.
• Beginners — ages 6 to 99 · Beginners Taekwondo program focused on building a strong foundation in martial arts and personal growth through structured training in a supportive, family-focused environment.
• Black Belt Club — For students ready to make a deeper commitment to their Taekwondo journey, with emphasis on goal setting, consistency, personal accountability, and advanced training opportunities.
• Weapons — Weapons training for enrolled Foothill Taekwondo students focused on focus, precision, advanced skill development, and proper handling, forms, and applications of each weapon.

About the provider

Amanda Jones is the owner and chief instructor. She is a Certified Changmookwan International Instructor, a 6th Degree Black Belt in Changmookwan, and a 4th Degree Black Belt in Kukkiwon. Foothill Taekwondo opened in the summer of 2000 and has served the El Dorado County community for more than 25 years. The program has worked with the city’s Parks and Recreation Department and partnered with several local elementary, middle, and high schools, including charter schools.

Students can start at any time in KinderKicks. Each child progresses at their own pace. When a student enrolls, families are helped to understand which classes are included in their program and how often they should attend.
