About
White Dog Ranch Summer Day Camps include riding, feeding, maintenance, grooming, and general horsemanship. Campers take lessons in basic through intermediate English horsemanship and Western horsemanship, using riding and horse handling programs. Camps are limited to a maximum of 10 students per camp, and lesson horses are described as thoroughly experienced, well mannered, and suitable for riders of all levels.
• Schedule: 3-day and 5-day camp options, each running from 9AM to 2PM
• Price: Camps cost $180 for the 3-day camp and $300 for the 5-day camp
The camps are described as designed to develop and enhance good horsemanship, confidence in, and consideration for equine partners. The program takes place at a full-service equine facility that includes 15 acres, 4 barns, 30 box stalls with paddocks, 5 separate pastures, a lighted indoor arena with sand footing for year-round and evening riding, a round corral, and nearby trails. The ranch is open 7 days per week and offers individualized feeding programs and pasture turnout, with Great Pyrenees dogs guarding the animals and livestock and many friendly Great Pyrenees dogs roaming the ranch.
White Dog Ranch Summer Day Camps are led by ranch owners Angie and Steve Meroshnekoff. Angie is a top-level competitor in the North American Trail Ride Conference, placing consistently at the national level, and has been breeding and training horses most of her life with a strong background in both Western Pleasure and Dressage. Steve’s background is in Western ranch horses, and his skills as a horseman are in demand by trail ride managers. The ranch notes that they have been breeding Great Pyrenees for over 50 years.
