Ride Above Disability Therapeutic Riding Center offers therapeutic riding and recreational horseback riding, with a focus on both riding skills and the relationship between horse and rider. Ride Above Disability Therapeutic Riding Center teaches recreational horseback riding to children and adults of all ages with disabilities and focuses on special needs riders while also teaching siblings and parents who are interested. The program serves students with physical, emotional, social, and behavioral disabilities, including ADD/ADHD, traumatic brain injury, stroke, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, cognitive defects, autism spectrum, amputations, cerebral palsy, behavioral problems, learning disabilities, and hearing, vision, and speech impairments. Lessons are tailored to each rider's goals and individual needs, using a team approach to create an individual riding experience. The environment is described as a place for family and community for students, volunteers, and instructors, and Ride Above was created to be a place where the entire family unit could come and feel welcome, relax, and enjoy their time at the ranch.
All lessons are conducted by experienced instructors, and Ride Above Disability Therapeutic Riding Center follows PATH Intl guidelines and standards. The organization is described as a 501(c)(3) Non Profit and offers options to sponsor a horse and donate, including through an Amazon wishlist.
