Ignite Dance Academy

Ignite Dance Academy offers classes in Ballet/Pointe, Tap, Contemporary, Jazz, and Musical Theatre. The program also includes Teen/Adult classes for new dancers, where participants ages 11 and up gain movement experiences and fundamental knowledge of the basics of dance.

• Schedule: Summer, fall, and winter/spring sessions, with special Christmas and recital performance dates

Ignite Dance Academy at River City Christian was born out of a desire to encourage children and adults to enjoy the art of dance and develop their gifts in this area. The program states that God created dance as a form of expression and expresses a desire to encourage and develop the dancer in each student. It is dedicated to maintaining high standards of technical performance in a wholesome environment while making classes fun, and it states that whether or not a student continues to dance, the benefits can enrich their whole life. Ignite Dance Academy is at River City Christian, a Sacramento Christian church seeking to know Jesus better and serve the needs of the Greater Sacramento Region and beyond. Registration is open for the Summer 2026 Session from July 6 to August 27, with additional sessions and events including the Fall 2026 Session from September 7 to November 19, the Winter/Spring 2027 Session from January 11 to June 6, a 2026 Christmas Show on December 12–13 at 4:00 p.m., and a 2027 Recital on June 5–6 at 4:00 p.m.
