Bumblebunch Sewing Camps
Bumblebunch Sewing Studio, 10570 Foothill Boulevard, Suite 230, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 10570
About
Bumblebunch Sewing Camps focus on sewing projects such as making duffle bags, pocket pillows, zipper pouches, bucket hats, beach bags, scrunchies, drawstring backpacks, and comfy t-shirts. Campers can also design and make their own bomber jackets, design summer-themed quilts, work on free choice sewing projects like clothes, bags, hats, plushies, or decor, and create Jellycat Egg and Squishmallow-inspired designs. The program also includes fashion draping using half-scale dress forms to draft garment patterns, along with options like Introductory Fun Fridays, weekly classes, and special sewing events for birthday parties, scouts, and other groups.
• Ages: 6–17 years old
• Schedule: Four-day summer camp sessions, each running three hours per day with morning (9am–12pm) and afternoon (1pm–4pm) options
• Price: $295 per summer camp session
Bumblebunch Sewing Camps are part of Bumblebunch Sewing Studio, which specializes in teaching kids and teens to sew and offers over 36 Bumblebunch projects to choose from, including tops, shorts, bags, stuffies, dresses, skirts, hats, and more. Camps are designed for ages 9–17, and siblings ages 6–8 can enroll in the same camp and make a hand-sewn project. The studio maintains a small student-teacher ratio of 4:1, which is usually even lower, and transparent pricing covers fabric, sewing machines, patterns, and supplies, so families do not need to purchase additional materials. The studio follows all required safety directives of the San Bernardino County Health Department and offers a waitlist by email if a camp is fully booked.
Bumblebunch Sewing Studio was established by owner Yvonne Dill-Cruz, who previously co-owned SEWciety Studio for 4 years and has 6 years of experience teaching kids to sew. Yvonne Dill-Cruz graduated from California State University, Northridge with a Film degree and worked for 15 years in Broadcast Advertising for some of Los Angeles’s top production companies. The studio is led by expert instructors who specialize in this age group and offers a supportive environment with a diverse sewing curriculum.
The studio’s mission is to prioritize cultivating creativity and instilling confidence in young learners by teaching kids to sew, giving them chances to make creative choices, showing them the benefits of patience, helping them focus on their projects, and encouraging them to take pride in their accomplishments. Community options include birthday parties, scouts events, and other group events, with choices such as earning a patch or donating sewing projects to charity. A parent testimonial on Google notes the positive mentors, the personal relationships with teen helpers and teachers, and confirms that the student-to-teacher ratio is 4:1 at the highest and often even lower.
