Elegance Studio of Dance offers dance lessons for children and adults in styles such as Salsa, Latin, Ballroom, Flamenco, Zumba, and line dancing. The program also includes world dance and fitness, with dances from India (Bollywood), Brazil, Hawaii, Greece, Mexico, Spain, and Russia, as well as choreography for parties, quinceañeras, shows, galas, weddings, and competition routines. Studio Director Susie Bartes started dancing ballet at age 3, discovered Flamenco at 14, and began teaching dance to children at 18. She later focused on Latin and Salsa, created her own fusion dance company Salsa Gitana, and performed across California, including at the world Salsa Congress and the Choreographer’s Carnival. Her experience includes dancing in music videos, movies, and on TV, and she has traveled to study Flamenco in Spain, Tango in Argentina, and Salsa in South America and Cuba. Susie currently teaches Latin, ballroom, and Flamenco to adults and children, teaches group fitness classes, choreographs for weddings and special occasion dances, and performs Flamenco throughout the Los Angeles area for Spanish restaurants and private events.
Elegance Studio of Dance states that its goal is to introduce young dancers to styles from around the world and that its team is dedicated to sharing a love of dance with all students. The studio offers specialized dance instruction for weddings for brides, grooms, mothers, and fathers, with packages that are custom tailored for basic movement or elaborate choreography, and private and small group lessons in Latin, Ballroom, Salsa, Flamenco, line dancing, and Zumba for children, adults, and seniors. The program notes that it excels at cleaning choreography for competition routines and is updating its class schedule with new Latin/Ballroom and Flamenco classes.
Elegance World Dance Specialists from the studio are available for fun classes within school districts, including for International Day and Cinco de Mayo celebrations. Susie Bartes has taught her world dance classes to over 1,000 children in schools in PVPUSD and LAUSD.

One mother of the groom described being thrilled with a Mother/Son swing dance that matched their song and called it a memory to cherish. A bride shared that, with no prior dance experience, a few lessons led to choreography for a wedding song that felt comfortable and entertaining for guests.
