Rancho Santa Margarita NJB offers Rookies for kindergarten or 1st grade in the 2025-26 school year and Divisional for grades 2nd through 8th. Rookies meet in an 8-week session every Sunday for 30 minutes of practice and 30 minutes of game time. Divisional plays an 8-game regular season, typically on Sundays, with possible Saturdays based on gym availability, and practices do not exceed 2 per week or 3 total hours per week. The program provides a smaller basket, a smaller basketball, and high-quality reversible jerseys.

National Junior Basketball is a nonprofit organization founded in 1984 by Dennis Murphy, Jr. It was created as a youth basketball league based on sportsmanship and player development.
