About
Shasta Family YMCA Kids & Teens Programs take place at the Shasta Family YMCA, which offers heated indoor and outdoor pools for year-round swimming and fitness classes. The programs are part of a broader set of group exercise fitness offerings designed for different ages, abilities, and schedules. Participants also have access to features such as the Fit Lab program, the Row Studio, and free coffee with friends for accompanying adults or older teens.
• Schedule: Open Monday–Friday with extended hours, plus weekend hours; closed on major holidays listed by the YMCA
The Shasta Family YMCA is a 501(c)(3) charitable community service organization dedicated to building healthy spirit, mind and body. It works side-by-side with neighbors to address community needs related to kids, health, community connection, and support for vulnerable young people. Former foster kids and homeless young people receive assistance with housing, employment, life skills, and other resources to learn and work. Families in crisis due to mental health, child abuse, neglect, or substance abuse receive support and resources from licensed counselors. People from different backgrounds volunteer through the YMCA to help strengthen their community, and the organization has hosted events such as Touch a Truck and the Sharks Winter Mile, started the Fit Lab program, launched the Row Studio, and partnered with Special Olympics. The YMCA has received a Community Choice Award as Best Fitness Center and Gym in the North State.
