About

California Inland Empire Council Scouting Programs offers Scouting America youth programs that include activities where Scouts learn by doing. The programs include activities that allow participants to try new things, provide service to others, build self-confidence, learn leadership skills, and reinforce ethical standards. The programs also include activities that foster workforce skills and promote personal responsibility and high self-esteem.

• Ages: 5–17 years old
• Schedule: Office hours Tuesday–Friday, with Scout Shop hours available Tuesday–Saturday

For more than 100 years, Scouting programs have instilled in youth the values stated in the council’s mission. According to its mission statement, Scouting helps youth develop academic skills, self-confidence, ethics, leadership skills, and citizenship skills that influence their adult lives. The mission statement also notes that Scouting helps meet six essential needs of young people: mentoring, lifelong learning, faith traditions, serving others, healthy living, and building character. The California Inland Empire Council #045 lists council and event sponsors as part of its community involvement.
