About

Aubot Academy Coding Program focuses on real Python and Java coding. Students write Python programs that print messages, build programs that make decisions and repeat actions such as password checkers, guessing games, and countdown timers, and write longer programs that work with text and data, including formatting sentences, searching for patterns, and building reusable tools. They also organize and sort information by working with lists, tracking scores, and managing collections of data, and build real-world programs such as address books, file readers, and custom objects in code. As they progress, students write more sophisticated programs that handle errors and use recursion and comprehensions, and they complete both Python and Java coding exercises.

• Ages: 8–18 years old
• Schedule: One 45-minute session per week, with sessions available Monday–Thursday afternoons and evenings

Aubot Academy is a self-paced, individualized coding program for kids, like KUMON but for computer science. The curriculum was built over 5.5 years with contributions from 260+ university computer science students and has been studied by 8,936 students, with 15,362 coding exercises in total, including 5,550 Python exercises and 6,121 Java exercises. The Java curriculum is based on AP Computer Science A in the USA. Students work through real Python exercises at their own pace with an instructor present to help, and the platform is available 24/7 for practice at home. A free 30-minute trial is available, and families are asked to bring a laptop (Mac, Windows, or Chromebook). One graduate, Jaeden from Perth, reported that by completing the full Python curriculum, they became confident with Python, applied for an internship that required Python skills, and were accepted.
