The mission of Marine Science Camp is to inspire environmental stewardship through hands-on learning and exploration of San Francisco Bay ecosystems. The Marine Science Institute, which runs the camp, is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization with Federal Tax ID# 94-1719649.
The Marine Science Camp Scholarship Fund was created to give as many kids as possible the opportunity to experience camp, and camp spots are held in select sessions for qualified scholarship recipients. The organization notes that it provides extra financial assistance to ensure accessibility for all and that creating affordable, high quality, and engaging curriculum is supported by donors and current grantors who have contributed more than $25,000.
