• Ages: 4–18 years old
ProKicks Martial Arts Academy has 18 Years of Excellence and Commitment with the highest quality martial arts. The leadership team includes Master Robie Bakhos (Taekwondo Master), Master Siroj Ziyoviddin (Taekwondo Master), Instructor Juan Carlos Becerril (Taekwondo Instructor), and Instructor Fernanda Zandarin (Martial Arts Instructor). The academy states that its programs improve both mental and physical health by teaching students how to focus, act quickly, and solve problems with confidence, and that Tae Kwon Do training strengthens the body, sharpens the mind, and builds the spirit. The mission also states that martial arts at this academy provide an outlet for stress relief and a way to release negative energy, manage frustration, and replace it with positive focus and confidence for both kids and adults. The academy describes its goal as helping every student maintain strong health, build discipline and confidence, and be prepared for challenges inside and outside the dojo, in a safe, encouraging community where staying active and continuing personal growth go hand in hand.
The academy states that it helps pave the road for future leaders by teaching life skills and lessons that will last a lifetime, and that students build leadership and a positive “can do” mentality to support a successful and prosperous future. One parent, Chito Pono, reports having a son and daughter at the studio from age four and describes the studio as very family oriented, with instructors who combine discipline with fun for young kids. Another parent, Reymoore Santos, describes Master Robie as having extensive knowledge in teaching martial arts to all ages and creating a positive and insightful atmosphere to learn and grow. Parent Ashley Anglo reports that her daughter has attended for about three years, describes the school as professional, and notes that they teach discipline and respect in a nice and clean environment. Parent Sasha Ma reports attending since before it was ProKicks and describes it as the only Taekwondo studio they would send their kids to in the valley, with Master Robie caring about the quality of instruction the kids receive.
