Art Classes for Kids & Teens includes specific offerings such as Art Classes for All, Youth Art Cohorts, Afterschool Art Club, and a DIY Framing Workshop. Some Teaching Artists in these art classes require masks to be worn, and these requirements are listed in individual class listings. Studios used for these classes are restricted access and open only to registered students.
• Schedule: Gallery and front desk are open Wednesday through Saturday from 10am to 4pm.
• Price: Main Gallery: $200 per hour (minimum 2 hours), or $750 for 4 hours, then $150 per hour over 4 hours; South Gallery: $150 per hour (minimum 2 hours), or $550 for 4 hours, then $100 per hour over 4 hours; Courtyard: $150 per hour (minimum 2 hours), or $550 for 4 hours, then $100 per hour over 4 hours. Additional fees: speakers with microphone $50 per event; laptop, projector, and screen $100 per event. Gallery rental fees include 1 hour for setup before the event and 1 hour for clean up afterward, and discounted rental rates are available for nonprofits and community groups hosting mission-aligned events.
Richmond Art Center has been sharing art and creating with the community since 1936. As part of its 90th anniversary, it invites the community to share memories and reflections on what Richmond Art Center means to them. Gallery admission is free, and Richmond Art Center parking is free, with short-term visitor parking at one entrance and longer-term visitor parking in a nearby public lot. Studios and galleries are on one level with no stairs required for entry, and there are accessible parking options and curb cut-outs to support wheelchair access. Event organizers for gallery rentals may request access to a kitchenette for light food preparation and storage, may use a limited number of tables and chairs at no cost, and are responsible for clean-up and providing proof of insurance.
