Pedalheads Swim (formerly Atlantis Programs) was founded in 1986 in Vancouver, BC. The program’s mission is: “Inspire kids to believe in themselves.” It has been a leader in bike, swim, trail riding and soccer summer camps and lessons for kids 2–12 since 1986 and now runs programs at more than 250 locations across Canada and the US. Programs include biking, swimming, trail riding and soccer, and Pedalheads programs run rain or shine, with possible adjustments or cancellations for hazardous weather or air quality.

All Pedalheads swim instructors complete specialized training and must hold a Bronze Cross certification along with Standard First Aid and CPR-C before teaching. Many instructors also receive additional training through the Lifesaving Society's Swim for Life Instructor Course. The program uses a goal-based approach where kids build real skills, with longer classes and smaller groups, in-water instruction, and level-specific toys, tools and tactics. Lessons and camps are available for infants, tots, preschoolers, and school-aged kids, with private swimming lessons offered for one-on-one coaching. Families can access a free 60-minute lesson, and there are two make-up lessons per lesson set for missed swim lessons. The program has a zero-tolerance policy for bullying or discrimination of any kind.

Pedalheads+ provides no cost high quality camps and lessons to families with geographical, financial or other barriers. Claudia Sjoberg is the Founder & CEO, and she received the 2017 RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur TELUS Trailblazer Award.

For swim lessons, a child needs at minimum a swimsuit and a towel, and for levels like Parent & Tot, parents should be prepared to join their child in the pool. Recommended items for a swim bag include a bathing suit, towel, indoor footwear, swim diaper for Parent & Tot class, goggles (optional), and a swim cap (optional depending on the pool). For bike camp, required items include a bicycle, properly fitted bike helmet, water bottle and snack, mosquito repellent, rain gear and/or sunscreen (weather dependent), a small backpack, weather-appropriate clothes, closed-toe athletic shoes, and any required medication such as an EpiPen; all-day campers also need sunscreen, lunch, extra snacks, and a change of clothes, and the camp is nut-aware so nuts should be avoided if possible. For trail riding camp, required items include a bike that is ready to ride (at least 14", training wheels-free, with front and back hand brakes and gears), a properly fitted bike helmet, a small backpack the child can ride with (no cross bags), a water bottle or hydration pack and snack, weather-appropriate clothes, closed-toe athletic shoes (no rain boots or closed-toed sandals), mosquito repellent, rain gear and/or sunscreen (weather dependent), and any required medication such as an EpiPen; all-day trail campers also need sunscreen, lunch, extra snacks, and a change of clothes, and this camp is also nut-aware so nuts should be avoided if possible.

One parent from British Columbia reported that their daughter started not being able to swim and by day three she was swimming, and noted small classes, an excellent instructor, and clear summaries after each lesson. Another parent from Ontario said that an instructor named Mackenzie was patient and gentle, and that their son went from being scared to wanting to come back the next week. A parent from Colorado described coaches Malik and Sam as great, noted how many miles the kids rode in trail camp, and described the camp as well run with a super knowledgeable team.
