About
Soccer Shots is a soccer program where children participate in soccer activities. The program includes specific instruction in soccer skills such as dribbling, passing, and shooting through organized games and activities.
• Ages: 18 months–8 years old
Soccer Shots was formed in 1997 and began franchising in 2005. The founding partners are Jeremy Sorzano and Jason Webb, and in May 2009, Justin Bredeman became the third partner. Soccer Shots Franchising, LLC is based in central Pennsylvania, just east of Harrisburg, and the program has over 300 territories across 43 states and 2 Canadian provinces, with over 560,000 enrollments in 2023. The mission of Soccer Shots is to positively impact children’s lives as the premier children’s soccer experience.
Every Soccer Shots coach must complete a comprehensive training program to receive certification, is trained in the use of developmentally appropriate techniques, and is routinely evaluated and given ongoing training. The curriculum is developmentally appropriate, aligns with early childhood education standards, and places emphasis on character development and skill building. The program is created under the guidance of childhood education specialists, professional soccer players, and experienced and licensed soccer coaches, and sessions take place in a setting referred to as Soccer Island.
Soccer Shots offers three main program levels. The MINI (Toddler) program introduces children to fundamental soccer principles such as using their feet, dribbling, and basic rules of the game through songs, fun games, and positive reinforcement. The CLASSIC (Preschool) program uses creative and imaginative games, focuses on basic soccer skills like dribbling, passing, and shooting, and highlights a positive character trait each session such as respect, teamwork, and appreciation. The PREMIER (School-Age) program is an advanced option for school-aged children that builds on skills and introduces competitive play through fun games and team competitions.
Soccer Shots is consistently recognized by Entrepreneur Magazine as the #1 Children’s Fitness Franchise in the U.S. Through partnerships with the U.S. Soccer Foundation, Nike, and other organizations, Soccer Shots aims to impact children and communities across the U.S. and the world. Soccer Shots provides an exceptional customer experience with ongoing communication and proactively communicates cancellations due to weather or other circumstances.
Parents have shared feedback about the program. Nicole from Kalamazoo, MI, described her daughter’s experience moving from the Mini to the Classic program and mentioned that her daughter is learning soccer skills, taking turns, independence, and how to cheer for others. Tony from Phoenix, AZ, noted that their instructor was great and that their family signed up for the summer season. Brittany from Dallas, Texas, stated that she has seen much growth in her daughter over the months she has been with Soccer Shots. Sarah from San Diego, CA, described Soccer Shots as organized and said the coaches did an effective job of keeping the kids engaged.
