GPA Junior Academy is part of The Golf Path Academy and offers junior golf instruction using Flightscope X3 technology and V1 Pro video software. Lessons and clinics are available to students who are members or guests, beginners or more experienced players. The program is hosted at Richmond Golf Club, which has practice facilities that include a grass driving range, a separate short game area, and an extra 19th hole.
• Schedule: Open Tuesday–Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Sunday by appointment

GPA Junior Academy is led by Jon Guntrum, PGA Director of Instruction. He has been a PGA Member since 2011 and has over 15 years of teaching experience. His past roles include Lead Assistant at Burlingame Country Club in Hillsborough, CA, and Head Golf Professional at Berkeley Country Club, CA. In April 2019 he was given the opportunity to open his own golf academy at Richmond Golf Club, and in May 2019 The Golf Path Academy opened its lesson book.
The academy states that it focuses on teaching students the most efficient golf swing attainable and uses Flightscope X3 technology and V1 Pro video software to explain suggested changes. It states that students learn what to practice, how to practice, and why to practice specific movements in multiple ways to support long-term improvements.
