Chad Shepherd Academy of MMA/BJJ offers kids’ MMA, Jiu-Jitsu, jiujitsu, Muay Thai, judo, wrestling, and self-defense. The program includes a blended style of jiujitsu, Muay Thai, judo, and wrestling for a full MMA experience. Techniques and moves are closely supervised by instructors to ensure they are done correctly and safely, with a supportive, safety-focused training environment and a close-knit, supportive community that describes itself as a martial arts family.

The program’s mission is to impart martial skills with integrity and humility in a respectful and inclusive environment, and to empower students to embody discipline, respect, self-awareness, and personal growth. The academy states that it blends effective self-defense strategies with physical fitness, mental resilience, situational awareness, and engaging martial arts skills, with a focus on learning how to prevent conflict and navigate dangerous situations safely. Professor Chad is the Owner and Head Instructor, is a USMC veteran and retired MMA professional with over 35 years of teaching experience, and holds black belts in multiple disciplines while blending striking and grappling arts into a practical self-defense system. Mason Delgado is a Martial Arts Instructor, a second-degree black belt, and a competitive Extreme Martial Arts coach. Helena “Zoey” Gonzalez is a Martial Arts Instructor, a second-degree black belt with a background in both Kenpo and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and has been teaching martial arts for five years. The academy reports that over 1,000 families are part of Chad Shepherd Academy of MMA/BJJ and that the business is consistently ranked as one of the top in the nation.
