Coach Andrea owns the program, moved it into SoMo Village in 2025, and has a background that includes a Bachelor’s in Recreation Administration with a Minor in Business, operating Athletics Unlimited for five years, running toddler, gymnastics, and Ninja Warrior programs from 2012 to 2017, focusing on recreational gymnastics and Ninja Warrior from 2017, starting an Xcel team in 2023, and leading an alternative elementary school program for first through sixth graders during Covid. The coaching staff includes Coach Laini, who competed as an Xcel Platinum gymnast; Coach Ella, who competed at a high level of Junior Olympics Level 10; Coach Rayan, who has years of Martial Arts experience; Coach Makena, who grew up in the gym while her mom Andrea coached; Coach Aya, who loves wrestling and soccer and is a Real Madrid fan; and Coach Josie, who loves fishing.

The program’s mission is to empower children to grow physically and emotionally by building their confidence one skill at a time through Tumble & Warrior classes, camps, open gyms, day camps, a micro-school, Kids Night Out, and more in a safe and welcoming environment for kids of all ages and abilities. Stated values include confidence, community, creativity, progression, leadership, and fun, and the Xcel team that started in 2023 is described as allowing athletes to compete without the extra pressure and time of a Junior Olympic program. The organization describes a community vibe where parents, coaches, and kids appreciate the community feel, coaches who care, the friendly atmosphere, and learning children’s goals, and notes that all programs are now under one roof at SoMo Village.

Adventure Recreation Tumble & Warrior Programs describes itself as fostering a sense of belonging and camaraderie among staff, students, and families. One parent, A. McCall, shares that their daughter has grown up with Adventure Recreation, feels supported and challenged by the coaching staff, and that their family appreciates the flexibility of classes and recommends the program for kids who love to tumble and want to learn skills properly. Another parent, A. Hillstead, notes that their three children have attended for years for tumble classes, ninja classes, explore time, and summer camps, that the kids enjoy the program, that coaches are super friendly and fun, and that overlapping class times for siblings are especially appreciated.
