Cross & Crown Preschool

Cross & Crown Preschool offers age-specific preschool, pre-kindergarten, and transitional kindergarten programs that use play-based activities and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics) as part of the educational approach. The program includes engaging learning centers and multiple age-specific classrooms, with a class size ratio of 12:1 in all programs.

• Ages: 2–5 years old

The preschool program for ages 2–3 includes activities that promote social-emotional development, self-care and care for others, language and cognitive skills, pre-math literacy skills, and motor skills. The pre-kindergarten program for age 4 uses integrated thematic instruction and creative play experiences to explore mathematics, early literacy, social studies, and science concepts, and it prepares students for the requirements of kindergarten. The transitional kindergarten program for age 5 serves as a bridge between preschool and kindergarten, is based on an age-appropriate curriculum customized for individual learners, and focuses on developing and teaching the whole child through integrated and diverse activities with an emphasis on social and emotional development.

Cross & Crown Preschool offers three different academic programs that are developmentally appropriate for children ranging from 2 years old to 5 years old. The program’s mission statement is to provide a nurturing environment where young learners can grow through play, exploration, and guided discovery. The school serves families in Rohnert Park, California and surrounding areas. The leadership team includes Admin Office Kim Burns and Preschool Director Mandy McCarthy.
