About
Kidz ‘n Critters Summer Camp includes games, activities, crafts, videos, and activity sheets or handouts. Each day also includes time spent socializing the shelter animals. Topics covered include protecting wildlife, why spay or neuter, what a community cat is, and careers working with animals.
• Ages: 7–12 years old
• Schedule: Each one-week session, Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
• Price: Cost is $150 per camper, with a $25 sibling discount offered.
Each one-week session is geared to a particular grade level, and each camper may attend only one session. The camp includes guest speakers who are animal experts, along with videos and activity sheets or handouts. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis, is handled by Community Services with the other City camps, and includes a camp t-shirt. Scholarships are available. Registration opens to residents on March 21 and to non-residents on March 28. By supporting the non-profit group, the Animal Shelter League (ASL), families allow ASL to do more to help each animal.
