Kidz ‘n Critters Summer Camp includes games, activities, crafts, and time spent socializing the shelter animals. Each one-week session is described as educational, fun, hands-on, and relevant. Various animal experts visit as guest speakers to share their passion and knowledge.
• Ages: 7–12 years old
• Schedule: One-week sessions, Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
• Price: Cost is $150 per camper, with a $25 sibling discount offered. Registration includes a camp t-shirt. Scholarships are available.
Each one-week session is specially geared to a particular grade level. Topics during camp include protecting wildlife, why spay and neuter, what a community cat is, careers working with animals, and more. Each camper may only attend one session, and registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Registration is being handled by Community Services along with other City camps, with registration opening to residents on March 21 and to non-residents on March 28.
