Sonoma State University's Super Kids Camp was founded in 1992 and runs annually, hosting over a hundred campers per day during its eight-week program. Campers are grouped into littles (ages 5–6), middles (ages 7–8), and bigs (ages 9–11). The camp has an eight-to-one camper to counselor ratio. Counselors are Sonoma State University students who are described as positive role models for campers and are committed to campers’ education. The stated mission is that children have the opportunity to learn and improve, expand on sports, drama, science, and art knowledge, as well as to improve their social interaction skills in a safe environment.
