Sonoma State University's Super Kids Camp was founded in 1992 and runs annually, hosting over a hundred campers per day during its eight-week program. Campers are grouped into littles (age 5–6), middles (age 7–8), and bigs (age 9–11). With the schedule, each child will get to experience art, science, drama, and sports through unique, fun, and educational activities daily. Counselors are Sonoma State University students, and there is an eight-to-one camper to counselor ratio. Counselors work hard to create and teach lessons in art, science, drama, and sports that are age appropriate for each group. The camp states that a safe environment is offered for all campers. The mission of Super Kids Camp is that children have the opportunity to learn and improve, expand on sports, drama, science, and art knowledge, as well as to improve their social interaction skills in a safe environment.
