Upward Bound Sonoma County serves students in grades 9-12. The program includes virtual tutoring, classroom-based curriculum and support, library access, dual enrollment classes at SRJC, and campus resources including library, tutoring, and other facilities. Students must attend a six-week Summer Academy and maintain good academic standing.

About the provider

TRIO programs have been helping first-generation, low-income students prepare for and successfully graduate from college since 1964. The program’s mission is to provide first-generation college-bound students with academic readiness and resources necessary to access and graduate from a four-year college or university. Summer Academy includes field trips or community service activities on Fridays, and academic year services include social, cultural, and educational field trips. Parent or guardian requirements include attending parent workshops, program orientations, and awards ceremonies.

Students must attend a six-week Summer Academy and maintain good academic standing. Parent/guardian attendance at workshops, orientations, and awards ceremonies is required. The program serves students attending Elsie Allen High School, Healdsburg High School, Rancho Cotate High School, and Santa Rosa High School.
